Black Widow (2021)

“Black Widow ” was released in June, and I have not had the opportunity to watch it yet. As a true Marvel fan, I must watch every movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so this weekend I will be watching “Black Widow” on Disney+.

The movie tells the story of Natasha Romanoff and offers a glimpse into her life before she became an Avenger. I love a good origin story, so I am excited to watch this movie. If you’re a fellow Marvel fan, consider watching this movie if you haven’t yet.

Hairspray (2007)

I recently discovered that my favorite musical is on Netflix. “Hairspray” is a Broadway musical adapted into a movie about a teenager who wants to dance on her favorite show, the Corny Collins Show. The movie is set in the 1960s and the main character, Tracy Turnblad, protests to racially integrate the Corny Collins show.

This movie holds a special place in my heart because I performed in my high school’s production of “Hairspray” back in 2014. The movie has a lot of beloved actors and actresses such as Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, and Queen Latifah. If you love musicals, this movie is a must see.

Big Sky (2020)

I started watching “Big Sky” on Hulu last semester, and it was captivating. The first episode draws you in with the mysterious and tragic storyline of two girls who go missing. The interesting thing is that the audience knows where the girls are and who took them but the main characters looking for them don’t, so we must sit and watch hoping they get rescued.

The show is full of suspense and action and leaves you wondering what will happen next. I plan to start watching where I left off and binge the show all weekend. If you like suspense and crime shows, I recommend watching “Big Sky.”
