Weather update for week of Feb. 8-13

DeKALB — The weather in DeKalb for the second week of Feb. looks as though it may be a warmer week than we have seen so far this year. Even with warmer weather there is still a chance for more snow later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday

Tuesday’s forecast shows partly sunny skies and a high temperature around 34 degrees. Of course there will be winds around 8 to 14 mph and gusts reaching a potential of 22 mph. In the evening more clouds are expected and the temperature will reach a low of around 28 degrees. 

Wednesday

Another warmer day for DeKalb, Wednesday’s forecast predicts mostly cloudy skies and a high of 35 degrees. Wind between 10 and 16 mph with gusts reaching 25 mph. In the evening the temperature will drop to a low of 19 degrees. 

Thursday

During the day Thursday the high is expected to reach 29 degrees and skies should be partly sunny. Thursday evening has a possibility to bring snow resulting in partly cloudy skies and a low of 21 degrees. 

Friday

Friday is set to be the warmest day of the week with a high of 39 degrees. Unfortunately, it will also be one of the few days that will be mostly cloudy throughout the day. Friday evening the temperature will again drop to 14 degrees.

Saturday

During the day Saturday, plan to see clear and sunny skies with a high around 23 degrees. In the evening clouds will form and the temperature will drop to a mere 7 degrees. 

Sunday

The Sunday forecast predicts clear skies throughout the day and the peak temperature is expected to reach 24 degrees.
