DeKALB — As the NBA regular-season finale draws closer, the stakes are only getting higher as teams battle for a spot in the NBA Finals.

The Memphis Grizzlies (51-23) host the Milwaukee Bucks (46-27) in a battle between the second-place teams from the Western and Eastern Conferences respectively.

Memphis enters Saturday’s matchup in search of its seventh consecutive win at home. Their most recent action, a 133-103 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, featured a 30-point performance by guard Desmond Bane.

The second-year player out of Texas Christian University will join forces with guard Ja Morant as they look to maintain the second spot in the Western Conference behind the Phoenix Suns.

Over in the East, the Bucks sit one game behind the Miami Heat as they seek to make another championship run. Led by superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee is coming off back-to-back against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday and the Washington Wizards on Thursday.

Milwaukee currently leads the season series 1-0 after besting Memphis 126-114 on Jan. 19. Tip-off for Saturday’s game is set for 7 p.m. at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
