The NIU School of Music Jazz Ensemble will present its spring concert on April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Music Building.

The NIU School of Music Jazz Ensemble will present its spring concert on April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Music Building. 

It costs $5 for adults, $3 for students with an ID and NIU students are free with an ID. Tickets for the show can be purchased here. 

The concert is directed by Professor Rodrigo Villanueva and will include works from Duke Ellington, Benny Golson, Jimmy Rowles, and many more.  The event will also feature special guest NIU Jazz Studies and Thelonious Monk Institute alumnus Lenard Simpson, an educator, saxophonist and composer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
