The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center will be hosting a Period Project Give and Take day on Tuesday, Sept. 6. During this event, period products, such as tampons and pads, will be distributed in prepackaged bags to students. All items given away at this event are free of charge. The purpose of this event is to provide education on periods, ease the financial costs that come with having a period and destigmatize conversations surrounding periods.

While the GSRC is giving away products, they are also accepting donations to their cause. Donations would be packaged, unopened pads and tampons. Donations are not just accepted during the Period Project event, but are accepted at any time. If one wishes to donate, they may do so during the GSRC’s normal operating hours, which is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and will be held at the GSRC at Arndt House. Arndt House is located at 105 Normal Road. Stop by to be educated more on the Period Project, periods themselves or to grab or give period products. Learn more about the GSRC, what the organization stands for and the Period Project here.
