Northern Rehab hosts food drive for local food pantries

Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists is accepting non-perishable food items for their food drive.

DeKALB — Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists is hosting a food drive from Sept. 12 – 23 to collect non-perishable food items in order to benefit food pantries that serve the DeKalb, Sycamore, Genoa and Rochelle communities.

Donations will go to Barb Food Mart, Spartan Food Pantry, Genoa Area Food Hub and Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. A list of foods that can be donated include: canned meat, pasta, dry goods, canned foods (soups, sauces, fruits or vegetables), rice, beans, applesauce, paper goods, personal care items, cleaning products or any non-perishable food that have a long shelf-life.

These items can be dropped off at four different Northern Rehab locations in DeKalb (3266 Sycamore Road or 232 W. Lincoln Highway), Genoa (540 E. Main St.) or Rochelle (1211 Currency Ct.). For more information, visit Northern Rehab’s website or call 815-756-8524.

A raffle will also be available for anyone dropping off a donation. A $25 gift card to Barb City Bagels, Cesaroni’s Cafe & Deli, Crusin’ Genoa or Acres Bistro. One winner per location will be chosen the week of Sept. 26.
