The DeKalb Public Library is hosting a DIY pumpkin wreath event on Sept.14.

DeKALB– The DeKalb Public Library, 309 Oak St., will be hosting a pumpkin wreath decorating program this year. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the lower-level Zimmerman Meeting Room of the library.

The pumpkin wreath will include an arrangement of flowers, leaves and decorative pumpkins constructed in a circle. Attendees will be provided the materials necessary to make an easy Splatter Guard Pumpkin Wreath, but supplies are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

This wreath will be used to represent Halloween and autumn with seasonal colors and spooky decorations.

The Halloween wreath can be used as decoration indoors and outdoors. Some good locations for the wreath are on the outside of your front door, above fireplace mantles, room doors or a seasonal vignette in your living area.

This event is meant for adults and teens, but all ages are welcome to attend. For additional information, please contact Isabel Munoz at [email protected] or 815-756-9568 ext. 1700.
