If you are looking for something to do in DeKalb, here are some events happening this Saturday. 

FAMILY WEEKEND TAILGATE

Before the Huskie football game, come have some pregame fun in parking lot C3 near the Convocation Center. Tailgating starts around 11 a.m. Bring your car, food and tailgating gear, and get ready to support the Huskies! 

NIU WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL 

The NIU Huskies play against the University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles. The match begins at 11 a.m. in the Convocation Center in Victor E. Court. The game can be streamed here and tickets can be purchased here

NIU FOOTBALL VS VANDERBILT

The NIU Huskies face off against the Vanderbilt University Commodores. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. at Huskie Stadium.

WHISKEY ACRES DURING FAMILY WEEKEND

Enjoy a different food truck and musical performance each night throughout Family Weekend at Whiskey Acres, 11504 Keslinger Road. On Saturday, food and music begin at 1 p.m. 

PAINT AND SIP

Come and enjoy Family Weekend Paint and Sip event and go home with a painting of Mission – the NIU live mascot! 

The cost is $30 per painter. Check-in begins at 3:30 p.m. and painting begins at 4 p.m. There will be snacks provided. There will also be a cash bar available. 

This event is located in the Holmes Student Center in the Capitol Room. 

BRIT BEAT – A MULTIMEDIA CONCERT JOURNEY THROUGH BEATLES MUSIC HISTORY

Take a trip back in time with a fantastic journey through the days of Beatlemania with BritBeat’s multimedia concert journey through the Beatles’ music history.
