Turning on a favorite TV show or movie offers the perfect retreat from the stress of college life.

“Andor” (Disney+)

“Andor” is a TV series that premiered on Sept. 21. The series currently has six episodes available with a new episode premiering every Wednesday. “Andor” is a part of the “Star Wars” universe, and follows Cassian Andor, a spy and intelligence officer, as he looks for answers from his past. 

“Star Wars” fans may know Cassian, played by Diego Luna, from the 2016 film “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. “Andor” is a show that explores more of Cassian’s background before he became a part of the Rebel Alliance and helped to destroy Darth Vader and the Empire. The series delves into the beginning of the Rebellion and the individuals that started it. 

“The Haunting of Hill House” (Netflix)

“The Haunting of Hill House”, starring Victoria Pedretti and Henry Thomas, is a horror series that was released in 2018. The show is based on Shirley Jackson’s novel of the same name, published in 1959. 

The show tells the story of the Crain family and their stay at Hill House, a house that is haunted by the evil spirits of past homeowners. “The Haunting of Hill House” switches between the past and present, circling around the Crain family decades after their summer stay at Hill House. Each episode follows one of the Crain children and shows the atrocities they experienced as children.

 “The Haunting of Hill House” is a perfect psychological thriller to rewatch during the fall season. 

“Formula 1: Drive to Survive” (Netflix)

“Formula 1: Drive to Survive” is a documentary series that follows F1 drivers, such as Pierre Gasly, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr., and their lives while racing for the world’s most famous racing teams. The docuseries consists of four seasons and a fifth season, currently in production, will release in 2023. 

The series is full of drama and entertainment that lets viewers get an inside look at the world of F1 racing. The show captures how highly competitive sports can be more dangerous than fun and how the pressure to win can either make or break a person. The show is full of action and drama leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
