Volleyball hosts 2021 MAC champions in weekend headliner

DeKALB – Two of the NIU women’s teams follow up the Homecoming weekend by defending home against Mid-American Conference rivals. Meanwhile, football and hockey seek out their first wins in several weeks. Cross country and men’s golf round out the weekend with their final regular season events of Fall 2022.

VOLLEYBALL

The 13-4 Huskies play host to the 12-6 Ball State University Cardinals for the first of a two-games series of MAC juggernauts. NIU is 9-1 when defending Victor E. Court while BSU is 2-3 in road matchups.

The NIU Division I hockey program looks to add a win to its record for the first time this season. The Huskies are 0-6 to open the 2022 season.

The Huskies look to extend their home record to double digits as they play at 2 p.m. on Saturday in DeKalb against the Ball State Cardinals. This will be the second game of their two game series this week.

NIU football (1-5, 0-2 MAC) travels north to challenge one of its oldest opponents, Eastern Michigan University (4-2, 1-1 MAC). The Huskies search for their first win since the season-opener.

Hammond, Ind. / Kube Sports Complex

The Huskies head east to the Hoosier State to finish its home-and-home series against. The Pride are undefeated at The Kube with a pair of 7-0 wins.
