DeKALB – Graduate student Tommy Dunsire added a selection as the Northern Star’s Huskie of the Week to his weekend resume following a record-setting outing at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational.

Dunsire fired off a score of eight under par 64 in the tournament’s second round on Sunday. His performance beat out that of former Huskie Thomas DeMarco at the Northern Intercollege on Sept. 24-25, 2017. Dunsire had four birdies and a pair of eagles while avoiding any bogies.

Dunsire finished the two-day event in an eight-way tie for 29th place. The fifth-year Huskie had a final score of six under par 210, a career-low for Dunsire.

Men’s golf will be back on the green on its final trip of the fall competition schedule beginning on Halloween. The Huskies will compete at the Poppy Hills Classic from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 in Pebble Beach, California. Live results for the event will be available on GolfStat.
