DeKALB – NIU Outdoor Adventures is hosting a Halloween Campfire event from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the West Lagoon. The night will feature many different fall festivities, including a bonfire, scary stories, hot drinks, a costume contest with prizes and a haunted hike, according to the NIU Events Calendar.

This event is free, with registration preferred but not required. Registration for individuals can be done on a Microsoft form. If part of an organized group, an RSVP must be emailed to [email protected].

The West Lagoon is located at the corner of Castle Drive and College Avenue and is the body of water connected just northwest of East Lagoon. A map for reference can be found here.
