Robin’s Nest Bookshoppe is an independent bookstore in DeKalb that opened in 2021. The store is owned by Bobbi and Tim Hays who also own a local bagel shop called Barb City Bagels. The bookshop serves as a place for the DeKalb community to gather and read old and new stories.

The store has not only books but other additional items. Robin’s Nest Bookshoppe has how-to drawing books, scented candles, novelty mugs, beanies, scarves and more. The store’s most popular items are books, their assortments of organic teas, and their story art bags, which have excerpts of popular books and stories printed onto them.

Since the shop is an independent bookstore they have a lot of freedom when it comes to what they can put on shelves. If the shop doesn’t have what you need in store they can order almost any book and have it for you in about three business days. 

Robin’s Nest is also now on Bookshop.org, allowing you to order books online with their affiliate link and have them delivered right to your door.

Robin’s Nest Bookshoppe is located at 218 E. Lincoln Highway and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the store visit its website.
