NIU bowling club

The men's and women's bowling club continued its winning ways by defeating Western Illinois in a conference matchup this past weekend. Roger Touhy paced the men's squad by shooting a 1184 series for five games, including a perfect 300.

The men's team, conference champions last year have now won 221 points while giving up 99 and the women's team, who took second in conference last year have won 170 points while giving up 70.

Both teams have been on a torrid pace and will travel next to take on Illinois State on Saturday and Western Illinois on Sunday.

NIU Hockey Club— Meanwhile, the hockey club has also been playing well as they defeated conference foe DePaul this past weekend, 7-2. Scoring for the Huskies were Chris Dyhr with two goals, Jim Parisi with two, Casey Berger with two and Abe Rufo with one. Goalie Tony Pusateri also played well for NIU.

The team travels next to Beloit, Wisconsin to play Lawrence University on Friday, then face DePaul in a home match on Saturday, at the Riverview Ice House in Rockford.
