Monday

On Nov. 27 at 10:01 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, the case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

On Saturday at 1:29 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Neptune East in regard to a report of an intoxicated individual. The officer arrived on scene and made contact with the individual. On Monday, Devonte L. Moore, 18, was arrested on a warrant for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 9:11 a.m., officers on patrol of Still Gym made contact with an individual who had an active warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of obstructing/resisting a peace officer. Matthew Szymborski, 22, was arrested and processed at the NIU police department. He was released on $575 bond.

At 3:48 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department to speak to a complainant via telephone regarding a report of theft. The officer took a report. The case is pending further investigation.
