Jescenia Calderon, Opinion Columnist

Jescenia Calderon is a first-year student double majoring in psychology and sociology. Calderon joined the Northern Star in Fall of 2023 as an opinion columnist. She will graduate in May 2027 and hopes to do social work after college. Jescenia’s biggest passion is writing and reading. Some of her inspiring authors are Fydor Dostoevsky and John Steinbeck. In her free time she writes countless works of poetry and listens to music.
