Rachael Swinson, Assistant Lifestyle Editor

Rachael Swinson is a freshman from Rochelle, Illinois, majoring in English and minoring in theatre studies and political science. She joined the Northern Star in fall 2024 as a copy editor and is looking forward to being a part of it as she continues her time at NIU.

Outside of the office, you can find her performing on stage in different musicals (or giving Broadway performances in her bedroom), reading, writing, sewing or obsessing over some kind of fandom (right now it’s Wicked, but usually Once Upon a Time, but we’re not going to get into that right now).
