Carved ivory tusks from the 19th century (right) and a painting titled “Art Burmese Dictatorship” from 1966 are on display at the “Legacies on Display: The Forbidden and Venerated Arts of Burma” gallery in the west end of the first floor of Altgeld Hall. The exhibit is open 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, noon to 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays until May 9. (Totus Tuus Keely | Northern Star)
