DeKalb County Sheriff's Officers stopped a vehicle for driving without lights on at the corner of Annie Glidden Road and Stadium Drive at 2 a.m. Sunday. The driver, David M. Stearns, 19, of St. Charles, did not admit to drinking, but failed field sobriety tests. Police arrested Stearns for DUI, DUI over .08, driving without lights on when required and unlawful consumption of alcohol. The other passengers, Garret H. Pahlke, 19, Adam C. Taylor, 19 and Trevor T. Schatzlein, 19, all of St. Charles, were arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol. DeKalb County Sheriff's Officers stopped a vehicle that failed to yield to another vehicle and not use a turn signal on the corner of Annie Glidden Road and Hillcrest Drive at 3:52 a.m. Sunday. The driver, Chad J. Keller, 25, of Milwaukee, Wis., admitted he had been drinking and failed field sobriety tests. Police arrested Keller for failing to signal, DUI and DUI over .08, and transported him to the DeKalb County Jail pending bond. Police responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of Lincoln Highway for a report of subjects trying to break into the apartment at 7:40 p.m. Saturday. Police arrested David J. Vogt, 27, of Chicago, for disorderly conduct, battery and obstructing a peace officer, Michael J. Vogt, 20, of Freeport, for disorderly conduct and Brett R. Westerland, 19, of Coal City, for unlawful consumption of alcohol, using a fictitious driver's license and obstructing a peace officer. Complainants called police at 9:24 p.m. Friday because they were worried about their friend, who they told police was intoxicated. Police located the subject, Justin V. Korff, 24, of DeKalb, in the 300 block of East Sunset Place, where he had defecated in the front yard of a residence. Police issued Korff a citation for defacing public property and released him.
