DeKALB — Singer Ashlie Amber is coming to DeKalb on Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N 2nd St., to perform a tribute to the late singer Whitney Houston while telling her own personal story.

Amber has been a full-time professional singer who has traveled all over the world for the past decade and even made an appearance on the 11th season of the singing competition show, American Idol. She has been nominated for several Henry Awards for her roles in musicals such as Spamalot, The Color Purple and RENT. 

Amber has been performing her show “Ashlie Amber: I Will Always Love You” to pay tribute to the person that helped her discover her passion for singing, Whitney Houston. 

Ticket prices for the show will range from $25 to $45 depending on how close to the stage you are and can be purchased through the Egyptian Theatre’s website.
