Remember vets

As we all know, Dec. 7, 1991, marked the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It is hard to believe it has been that long.

Many of the veterans who served there came together to share, laugh, cry, mourn and remember.

It was also a time for the American people to remember and to thank the men and women who have served their country.

Not only the veterans of World War II, but those of Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf should be commended for serving their country. These fine Americans helped preserve the freedoms that many of us take for granted.

If you know any veterans, tell them how proud you are of them and thank them for keeping us free. If they are no longer with us, say a prayer for them—I know I will.
