The Originals (Netflix)

The Originals is a spin off of the CW show “The Vampire Diaries.” “The Originals” is named after the family that the plot is centered around, the original vampires, the Mikaelsons.

Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is the original vampire-werewolf hybrid. He has just returned to the city his family helped build, New Orleans. Upon his arrival he learned that an old friend of his, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), had taken over the city. Marcel and his band of vampires have cursed the wolves and found a way to control the witches of the French Quarter.

Joined by his brother, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and sister Rebekah (Claire Holt), they plan to regain control of the city and protect their family at all costs.

“The Originals” is filled with horror, romance, drama, mystery, adventure and the bond between siblings.

Ever After (Hulu)

“Ever After,” featuring iconic actress Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott, is a 1998 adaptation of the classic fairytale, “Cinderella.”

Danielle (Drew Barrymore) is a beautiful young woman who is forced to live under her cruel stepmother Rodmilla (Anjelica Huston). Rodmilla forces Danielle to do all of the cooking, cleaning and caretaking around the house while she tries to marry off her own two daughters to wealthy eligible men. Danielle’s life takes a dramatic turn when she begins to fall in love with Prince Henry.

Penelope (Prime Video)

The Wilhern family was cured long ago that the next born daughter would be born with the snout of a pig, but there were no daughters until generations later when Penelope Wilhern was born.

Penelope Wilhern (Christina Ricci) is forced to live her life locked inside her home so that no one sees her abnormal nose.

It is believed that the only way for her to break the curse is to marry one of her own kind. Penelope meets many suitors behind a one way mirror, but as soon as they see her they all reject her and are forced to sign a confidentiality form.

However, there are two men who hold a grudge against the family. They hire a man (James MacAvoy) to pose as a suitor to get a photo of Penelope that they can have published in the papers, but complications arise as he begins to fall in love with Penelope.

Also featuring Simon Woods, Peter Dinklage, Catherine O’Hera and Reese Witherspoon, the film is sure to be hilarious and heartwarming.
