DeKALB –  The Mid-American Conference announced the All-MAC teams and specialty awards given to players in the conference Tuesday. NIU women’s basketball had three players honored: senior forward A’Jah Davis, senior guard Chelby Koker and graduate student guard Janae Poisson.

All 12 MAC coaches vote on the All-MAC teams and specialty awards. The coaches can vote for any player that is not on their team.

For the second consecutive year, Davis was selected to the All-MAC first team. Davis averaged a double-double with 16 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game (third in NCAA).

Davis logged 21 double-doubles this season (fifth in NCAA) and broke NIU’s record for career double-doubles with 51.

Koker was selected to the All-MAC second team for the second consecutive year. Averaging 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists, Koker is eighth in the MAC for scoring. Koker is fifth in the MAC in three-point percentage at 40.6%.

Poisson earned her second MAC Sixth Player of the Year Award. Poisson leads the Huskies in three-pointers made with 69 and is fifth in the MAC for three-point field goals made per game with 2.4. Poisson averages 10.9 points per game off the bench. Poisson hit the 1,000-point mark vs. Western Illinois University on Nov. 11.

The Huskies face Kent State University at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
