DeKALB – The Tails Humane Society pet of the week is the tripod dog named Evee. She’s the lucky gal to be featured this week to all of DeKalb’s dog lovers.

Evee is approximately three and a half years old and she is a large mixed breed that weighs close to 44 pounds. Her coat is brown and black from head to toe and, even though she is missing her left back leg, she’s full of energy and a happy-go-lucky pooch.

Any family would be lucky to have Evee as she is well adjusted, loyal and eager to please. She has been potty trained, is crate trained, enjoys walks and is very treat-motivated, so further training should be simple. Evee is quite the bright youngster, as she is already familiar with the commands “sit” and “down.”

Evee’s life is completely unaffected by her tripod status. She’s available for adoption right now. However, she’s held in a quieter area of the shelter, so you can only meet her if you ask a staff member to see her. 

All dog lovers at NIU and in DeKalb should absolutely make an effort to meet this lovely lady.
