Faith tolerance

Our forefathers (and mothers) founded this country because of religious intolerance. Our country as a whole needs to be more open-minded to all religions.

The students who were upset because the Gideons were distributing copies of the New Testament to those who wanted them on Yom Kippur should keep in mind what our country is about. All people must be able to accept all religions on any given day.

You can not simply choose to ignore other religions because of one religion’s holiday. In a country as diverse as ours, it is impossible and unreasonable to expect to be sheltered from different religions or ways of thinking.
