Sluzas wins second consecutive MAC Golfer of the Week honors

DeKALB Sophomore Ben Sluzas earned his second consecutive MAC Golfer of the Week after finishing first place in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. Sluzas finished two under par with a score of 211. 

Sluzas finished the tournament six strokes ahead of the No. 12 individually ranked golfer in Golfstat’s rankings – Ohio State University junior Maxwell Moldovan. 

In the first round, Sluzas shot his tournament low 69 and followed it up shooting a 70 in the second round. Sluzas’ rounded out the tournament with a score of 72, including a birdie on hole 14 and 16. 

NIU’s next tournament is the MAC Championship, an all day event ranging from Sunday until Tuesday. The tournament is held at Canebrake Club in Athens, Alabama. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.
