Spooky season has kicked off in DeKalb

DeKALB – Calling all ghosts and ghouls to downtown DeKalb for some spooktacular festivities.

DeKalb Chamber of Commerce welcomes everyone to celebrate its 26th annual Spooktacular Halloween in downtown DeKalb with over 30 local merchants Thursday.

Guests are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and trick-or-treat with local DeKalb businesses from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Following the spooky activities, the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., will be offering a free movie showing of “Casper” at 6:30 p.m. to keep the spirits roaming. No ticket reservation is required. Doors will open at 6 p.m. 

Head out to downtown DeKalb Thursday to have a scare-tastic night with your friends, family and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce.

On Halloween, the city of DeKalb will start trick-or-treating from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
