DeKALB – At 12:57 a.m. Monday, the DeKalb Police Department responded to a two-vehicle car wreck at 1200 S. Seventh St.
James Corralejo, 25, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and suspected to be the cause of the car accident.
One female who was seriously injured received immediate medical care from the DeKalb Police and Fire Departments on the scene. She was transported to a hospital in the area where she was pronounced dead.
The identity of the woman has yet to be released.
Corralejo was arrested and charged with driving under the influence along with two felony charges, one of reckless homicide and one of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol/death.
