DeKALB – The Center for Black Studies will have a pre-Kwanzaa celebration to commemorate the upcoming holiday which is normally celebrated from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1.
The celebration will be held so that students who will be leaving campus for the holidays can celebrate it together while they are still on campus.
The event will focus on uniting members of the NIU community together to learn about African values such as unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith.
