Any student interested in joining the Rugby Club should attend the first practice of the season on Tuesday which begins at 4 p.m. on the field behind Stevenson Towers.

“Everyone is welcome to join, but it would be nice to get some ex-football players or ex-wrestlers to come out,” Rugby Club president Todd Taylor said.

The first game is scheduled for Sept. 14 at Eastern Illinois. A game will take place every Saturday for the next two months with home contests starting at 1 p.m.

The club takes on a contingent of midwest schools this fall, including Eastern, Western Illinois, Southern Illinois and UIC. The student-run organization is also a member of the Chicago Rugby Football Union.
