Missing reality
April 9, 1991
Well I guess I am a ‘narrow-minded individual’ as I thought that the purpose of a government-run institution is to protect those discriminated against.
But as Jason Inman has clearly pointed out to me, government-run institutions should reflect only the opinion of the majority.
How silly I have been. I had not realized those not in agreement with the likes of Jason Inman and his Bible should be denied access to certain American rights.
Need I point out the consequences of majority rule in the cases of slavery and genocide? Perhaps I do, but I would prefer to advise Jason to take a course in reality.
I have a feeling that if Jason were to open his eyes he would see that his religion is by no means a majority force in the world and it has its own very rich heritage of imposing its values on the “uncivilized.”
I want to wish Jason and his crusade to live the words of Christ good luck. I was not aware that Christ wore blinders.
You, Jason, might find yourself stumbling along the path to heaven, as you judge the actions of others.
