Don’t attack all

I’m writing in response to the editorial given on April 11.

As a Christian, I would like to agree with the column written about these “religious-fanatic wanna-bes” as the article names them, who go around condemning all who stray from the teaching of the Bible.

These are the people who take all that is holy and pure, and drag it through the dirt. It is not the place of one human being to be judging another.

So many of us who claim to be Christians overlook the small verse that comes after the famous John 3:16.

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:17 NIV)

Christians have not been called to be God’s wrath upon the earth, rather we have been called to share God’s love to all the earth.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Christians should be silent to expressing what the Bible says is wrong. We are to “Go into all the world and preach the good news.” (Mark 16:15 NIV), we should do it the way Christ would do it … with love.

One more thing I would like to get straight, people who put signs in their windows such as “kill a faggot,” do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, and as a Christian I desire not to be connected in any way to such people.

Before you write an editorial, make sure you direct your feeling to the group deserving of the credit. Those in Christ are not of the condemning nature.
