After being bumped down to No. 2 singles last month, Mats Persson’s 6-1, 6-2 dumping of an Eastern Michigan opponent earned him the Mid-Continent Conference Tennis Player of the week.

Persson has a 10-7 spring dual-meet record. He also won his 20th doubles match of the season with partner Dustin Dobrin.

The 11-7 Huskies will get a chance to drastically improve upon their record against Eastern Illinois, Valparaiso, and UW-Green Bay in a quadrangular meet starting Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m.
