This weekend, enjoy a variety of Halloween-themed events such as an arts and crafts vendor fair, a spooky illusory performance and a dark Shakespearean play among other events.
SCHOOL OF THEATRE AND DANCE PRESENTS “MACBETH”
Date and Time: 7:30 p.m. Friday / 2 p.m. Saturday
Location: O’Connell Theatre, Stevens Building
Tune in for this classic Shakespearean play directed by Peter Andersen and brought to you by the NIU School of Theatre and Dance. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and staff, $12 for non-NIU students and are free for NIU students.
PUMPKIN FEST: CRAFT & VENDOR FAIR
Date and Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
Location: 355 N. Cross St., Sycamore
Join the members of ACS Sycamore Campus for a day of fall-themed crafts and vendors. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors and is free for children under five years old.
Date and Time: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday
Location: DeKalb Public Library
Enjoy a candy quest with treats from all around the world. Each type of candy will be placed at the Circulation Desk, the Adult Reference desk, the Tech Desk and the Youth Reference Desk. This program is free for all to attend and ingredients for each item will be listed by each desk.

Enjoy an illusory performance by Walter King Jr. that incorporates theatre, dance, music and comedy. This event is free for all to attend and pre-registration is not required.

Location: St. Mary School, 210 Gurler Road
Stop by the St. Mary Fall Fest for a night filled with campfires, bounce houses, food trucks and more. RSVP is required for this event.

Stop by for an afternoon of candy prizes, hot apple cider and other goodies. Registration is required for children to receive a goody bag, but the event is free to attend.
