To whom it may concern:

I am a 1990 NIU graduate with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Four days after my December commencement, my Air Guard unit was ordered to active duty by President Bush.

The ladies of Alpha Delta Pi sent me the two-page spread in support of the troops in the Persian Gulf that you printed Jan. 28—thanks, it looked good and it means a lot!

Our thanks to all the local sponsors also! Thanks also to the ladies of Alpha Delta Pi for all the valentines, as well.

Our unit operated out of O’Hare at home so you can imagine there are quite a few NIU students and alumni in our unit and also some DeKalb locals.

It was nice to see the local merchants and the Star supporting us.

I would appreciate it if you could print a thank you to those I mentioned as well as a very special thank you to Tina Scatena, an NIU senior, for all their support of the deployed Illinois Air Guard, and the rest of the troops here.
