Mac and cheese: a crowd pleasing pasta staple. Whether you need a Thanksgiving side dish or just want to enjoy a cheesy meal, this dish is sure to hit the spot.
MAC AND CHEESE
Prep time: 25 to 30 minutes
Serves 4 to 6 people
INGREDIENTS
3 cups macaroni pasta
8 oz pepper jack cheese
16 oz mild cheddar cheese
8 oz mozzarella cheese
2 oz cream cheese
¼ cup butter
¼ Flour
16 oz Heavy whipping cream
Pinch of cracked black pepper
Pinch of paprika
Pinch of garlic powder
Pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Boil water in a medium pot. Once the water is boiling, add your pasta. Cook for eight to 10 minutes. Drain pasta and set to the side.
To a medium saucepan, add butter. Once melted, gradually add in flour. Combine with a whisk to make a roux. Add in heavy whipping cream. Add the cheese to the saucepan. Stir and allow each cheese to melt before adding the next. Add black pepper, paprika, garlic powder and salt to the cheese mixture.
Place the noodles into a medium baking dish. Pour the cheese sauce over the noodles. Stir to combine. Sprinkle pepper jack cheese, mild cheddar cheese and mozzarella on top. Place into the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Once cheese is lightly browned, remove from the oven and enjoy.
