Soon, NIU, you can stop stressing about finals and start thinking about what presents you want for the holidays: clearly a much more important issue.
Some students across campus have a few ideas already.
But whether you have a holiday to celebrate this winter or not, whether you receive everything your heart desires from Old Saint Nick or you simply get some beautiful quality time with the people you love, may this break be a magical one.

Nikolette Nedic, a senior sports management major, would love to get back across the sea.
Q: “If you could get any Christmas present, what would it be?”
A: “Probably a trip to Europe.”
Q: “Why?”
A: “I love traveling, and I just want to go back.”
Savanah Brandt, a junior communications major, wants a new furry friend. Us too, Savanah, us too.
Q: “If you could get any Christmas present, what would it be?”
A: “I would probably want a new dog, just because, I don’t know, the house feels kind of lonely during the holidays.”
Ryan Pochron, a sophomore marketing major, is happy to report his musical wish has already come true.
Q: “If you could get any Christmas present, what would it be?”
A: “I think what I wanted for Christmas actually, like, I’ve already got. It’s sort of like an early Christmas present. I got, I wanted a guitar, and we went out and bought one, just like this past weekend. So that’s what I really wanted.”
Marin McLaughlin, a junior marketing major, made maybe the smartest Christmas wish yet.
Q: “If you could get any Christmas present, what would it be?”
A: “Probably, to never take an OMIS (Operation Management and Information Systems) class again. Just because I’m really bad at computers.”
Erika Villani, a junior accounting major, has a fashionable wish list.
Q: “If you could get any Christmas present, what would it be?”
A: “I would get the black bow Converse that are like new because they’re really cute, but they’re sold out right now.”
Noor Dogar, a junior early childhood education major, has a wishlist smooth like butter.
Q: “If you could get any Christmas present, what would it be?”
A: “If I could get any Christmas present, it would probably be a concert ticket to see BTS because I have not gone to any of their concerts, and I really want to.”
