Telemarketers wanted

There’s a new business in DeKalb and it wants you.
Chicago Telemarketing Connection, 121 N. Ninth St., has moved into DeKalb and it is looking for telemarketers.
“We added the office in DeKalb primarily because of the labor force in DeKalb,” said Guy Scarpelli, president of Chicago Telemarketing Connection. CTC moved into DeKalb Monday.
Scarpelli also said CTC will be able to “provide people with a steady income.”
“DeKalb has been a steady source for the labor market,” he said.
“We sell a variety of different things,” Scarpelli said. “Mostly we sell clubs and continuities like travel or auto clubs, magazine renewals and shopping at home services.”
Although CTC is located in DeKalb, it will probably not sell its services to residents of DeKalb, he said. The company deals with customers all over the United States, he said.
“The majority of work done (at CTC) is long distance,” he said.
“We need people who are qualified to do the work here,” Scarpelli said. “We need someone with a good speaking voice and good communication skills.”
Scarpelli said they prefer someone who has telemarketing experience, but experience is not required.
He also said residents and NIU students are welcome to apply.
