I’m writing in response to the article in Friday’s edition of The Northern Star, “They’re just trees.”

Thanks for putting those tree-hugging fanatics in their place. While you’re condemning worthless causes, here are some suggestions for future editorials:

“They’re just dioxin-infested rivers”

They’re just clear-cuts”

It’s just a hole in the ozone layer”

They’re just rainforests”

They’re just bald eagles”

They’re just African elephants”

They’re just grizzly bears”

They’re just whales”

It’s just a beach”

It’s just a Desert”

It’s just clean air”

It’s just clean water”

It’s just the Earth … “
