There are many buildings across NIU that have different, unique shapes. From Altgeld Hall looking like a castle to Zulauf Hall looking like a cereal box, NIU students provided their thoughts on what building has the most interesting shape.
What NIU building has the most interesting shape?
Trevor Mitts, a junior marketing major, likes Altgeld Hall because it looks like a castle.
Q: “What NIU building do you think has the most interesting shape and why?”
A: “Honestly, it might be Altgeld. Just seeing the castle every time walking past it, and then too, if you think about what’s in there, the Esports Arena inside of a castle is just kind of funny.”
Alantae Henderson, a junior chemistry major, likes the shape of Altgeld.
Q: “What NIU building do you think has the most interesting shape and why?”
A: “Definitely Altgeld. Mainly because it just looks like a castle. Looks amazing. That’s hands down Altgeld.”
Edith Prais-Lewis, a first-year art and design education major, likes the shape of Williston Hall.
Q: “What NIU building do you think has the most interesting shape and why?”
A: “Oh, I don’t know if I know the name of it, but there’s that brick, the orange brick one over there (Williston Hall). I love that building, and there’s like a parking lot right by it, with, like, really interesting staircases and, like, moss growing on it and it has a lot of, like, curved windows and, like, interesting recessed areas. I love that building, it’s so beautiful.”
Drew Wasylenko, a junior geology and environmental geosciences major, likes the shape of Zulauf Hall.
Q: “What NIU building do you think has the most interesting shape and why?”
A: “I think it’s actually Zulauf because it looks like a cereal box.”
