Jerry Thompson, you are the epitome of a crotchety ol‘ man. A man your age should know better than to spurt off his President Bush – kissing, right-wing mouth at every liberal “zealot.”

You should at least know better than to do so in your own newspaper.

Get real Jerr’. There is nobody in the U.S.A. out cheering on ussein to victory. The guy is ruthless. It’s hard to deny that fact.

But don’t tell me that I, a member of the ” … greatest country on earth by any measure you make,” as you call it, an anti-American because I believe war should be avoided at all costs.

You scare me Jerry Thompson. I assume that if you were living in Hitler’s Germany you would have backed your leader and his troops 100 percent?

No, President Bush is not Hitler. However, any man who sets an ultimatum for war and its inevitable death and destruction is a madman in my book.

Who is being harmed by the anti-war protesters? Not the troops. If a solider believes in his or her role in the Middle East, it shouldn’t matter what others think.

It wasn’t the anti-war protesters that caused people to come back crazy from Vietnam. It was the insanity of war combined with the feeling of fighting without just cause.

Well Jerry Thompson, I’m sorry to say that I support every man and woman in the Middle East to my dying breath, but I think the policy is for poop.
