NIU women’s basketball graduate student guard Chelby Koker claimed this week’s Mid-American Conference Player of the Week award after back-to-back double-digit performances.
Koker’s noteworthy week was headlined by a season-high 28 points on Saturday, leading the Huskies to an 84-77 double-overtime victory against Bowling Green State University.
Despite NIU facing a 10-point deficit at halftime, Koker proceeded to score 23 points which included an overtime-sealing tip in.
Earlier in the week, Koker contributed 13 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists as the Huskies fell to Kent State University by a score of 76-58 on Wednesday.
