For the past two weekends, the NIU women’s gymnastics squad has enjoyed record-setting results. Of course, the Huskies have had the luxury of two home weekends.

Now it’s back to the road and making the challenge complete is a formidable foe, such as the Lady Cyclones of Iowa State. NIU visits Ames, Iowa for a Friday 7 p.m. dual at ISU’s Hilton Coliseum.

NIU boasts a 7-0 ledger after having produced a school-record total for a second straight week. Coach Bobbie Cesarek’s crew posted a 187.90 tally in defeating Iowa and Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In addition, NIU’s 47.40 total on the balance beam established yet another event record.

Iowa State is coming off a loss to Big Eight rival Oklahoma, but Iowa State scored an impressive 187.10 in a losing effort.
