April wraps up with National Princess Week – how fantastic is that? Since we’ll all be locked away studying for finals, let’s take our dose of pixie dust now. 

Those of us who grew up watching Disney cartoons have already had the “What Disney Princess are you?” discussion more than once, taking Buzzfeed quizzes or coming up with magical and goofy games as children. 

But you’re never too old to have a little fun or wish upon a star, and queen, you deserve the break. 

Which Disney princess best represents your studying habits? 

PRINCESS JASMINE

If you’re like Jasmine, you’re probably clever, kind and a bit introverted. You’re a champ at solo exams and projects where you can apply your knowledge swiftly and concisely, so your main fears are finals that involve group projects or presentations. 

You do not like being told what to do, and with good reason – you’re brilliant! You’re quick to shut down a toxic leader or a mansplainer, but you’d rather not risk working with an unreliable teammate in general. 

You study best when you can study alone and organize your thoughts without distraction – except for, of course, the companionship of a cuddly friend. Find someplace beautiful and quiet – maybe even on a magic carpet – to curl up and study this month, and seek out like-minded princesses if you do have to conquer a group project. 

PRINCESS AURORA

If you prepare like Princess Aurora, you may be prone to some wishful thinking – and daydreaming – when it comes to finals. That upcoming test? You’ve been studying this subject all year, of course you’ll be fine! That paper? Oh, sure, you’ll get to it eventually. 

Your carefree nature helps you get through the last few weeks with greater peace of mind than most, which is definitely helpful to your quality of life in late April.

Wouldn’t a nap be so much better than studying? The drowsy mind isn’t a functioning mind, after all. 

MULAN

If you relate to Mulan, you’re likely a natural leader, friendly and probably more concerned with making sure that everyone’s happy than getting all the sleep you’ll need for finals. 

You study best in large groups where classmates can brainstorm and practice together, and you go out of your way to organize them. The well-being of loved ones means a lot to you, so you may often be checking in on friends as their large exams approach. 

Just make sure you don’t endanger your own success as you look out for your peers; you’re absolutely worth fighting for too! Don’t stay up too late socializing, and when you need it, take the time for some self-care and solo-reflection. 

PRINCESS TIANA

While we all have classes we excel at, if you relate to Tiana, you’re probably that classmate that is naturally unstoppable at them all. Your success isn’t just because all content comes easily to you; you’re a hard worker, and you plan classwork out ahead of time. 

You feel immense satisfaction after an exam that went well, and gratification after a smooth presentation because you know you did everything you could to prepare. 

You tackle any form of final with the same mentality, slotting out times of your schedule to study for each. You don’t complain about spending a lot of time studying, and your grit pays off.

You’re almost there now – just three weeks left – and you’re definitely going to make it; you’ll probably make it look easy!

PRINCESS RAPUNZEL

If you study like Rapunzel, you may be a little easily distracted – some activities are really just so much more fun than studying – but you can be immensely productive when you put your mind to it. Once you’re hyper-fixated on a goal, you don’t often get off track. 

Because your creativity and passion infuses all your best work, multiple-choice exams and tests that constrict your innovation are more challenging for you.

You prefer project-based finals that allow you to come up with new solutions or ideas that exemplify your skills. 

You may also be a bit anxious this time of year – the “what ifs” get really tangled up in your brain as finals approach – so take some time to see friends who can ease your stress, and make sure your bubbly imagination shines its way into your final products.
