Support soldiers

In regards to Jean Dobrzynski said “a band of students from the Reserve Officer Training Corps started to speak in support of President Bush and the U.S. troops”

She then proceeded to quote a guardsman who was not in ROTC. There are many reservists and national guard members who are not in ROTC

I would hate to think Miss Dobrzynski was trying to start a conflict with article.

If she was not trying to start anything, I hope the next time she writes an article, she researches the sources she uses. This displayed very unprofessional reporting.

Also, Miss Dobrzynski suggested that supporting the U.S. troops is bad. The troops in Saudi Arabia, from the United States and other countries, need all the support they can get.

The soldiers want peace more than anyone. These men and women didn’t order themselves there, the President did. The soldiers are doing their jobs, just like everyone else.

It is everyone’s right to agree or disagree with the President’s decision to send troops to war in the Gulf. It’s even their right to peacefully protest that decision.

But do not put the soldiers in the middle of this debate, they do not deserve to be there. They are just doing their job. They are there for all of us.
