Remember holiday’s theme
December 7, 1990
The Christmas spirit is coming, but don’t forget those in need.
Now is the time of year when everyone rushes to buy their friends and relatives gifts that will make happy even the most impossible to satisfy.
But with all the excitement of wrapping paper and ribbons, people cannot forget what the holiday is all about. It might be a bit sappy, but Christmas is a time to think of others.
It’s hard to remember there are people living on the streets or in cardboard boxes while buying the cute clothes for your niece. There are many who don’t even have money to buy gifts.
And since this is the season of giving, what would be better to give than something free like old clothes, canned goods, old toys. This is such an easy way to make someone happy.
Everyone remembers the Santas on the corners with bells in hand, ringing for change and the needy. It doesn’t take much to dig in your pocket for quarters, nickels and dimes.
So take that extra minute to think of someone who you don’t know, but needs your help. It’s part of Christmas.
