Vote for Tisch
November 5, 1990
We have an opportunity to emphasize issues and representative government over politics, machines and deals on Nov. 6.
There’s been much talk about “throwing the bums out” across the country this election season, but here in Illinois’ 76th District, we can put a new face into state office—a new face that is solution-oriented, budget-oriented and people- oriented. That new face is Robert Tisch.
DeKalb and NIU in particularly have been introduced to Tisch as a sincere and articulate third year law student and last year’s student regent.
Tisch was the regent who fought tuition and student fee increases, improved recycling awareness and protected students’ rights.
Tisch does not play petty politics. Instead, he takes stands on issues such as women’s rights to reproductive choice, environmental protection and educational funding.
Tisch advocates freedom from reliance on hodge podge revenue sources such as temporary surcharges and lottery sales. He will stand firm for sound fiscal planning as he provides the new leadership this new decade requires.
