The Student Association wants students to “Clean the Scene” and recycle.

On Saturday, the SA is sponsoring a “Clean the Scene” day for students to collect garbage and recycle all recyclable items from the west residence halls—Stevenson and Grant Towers and Douglas and Lincoln Halls.

Volunteers are encouraged to meet at the Recycling Center, which is located west of Stevenson South Tower at 11 a.m.

Anyone may participate, and those who participate will be rewarded with free pizza donated by Pizza by Marchelloni, 1000 W. Lincoln Hwy.

“We try to do this once a semester,” said Rachel Vellenga, assistant director of the SA recycling committee. Usually 20 to 30 people participate, she said.
