NIU women golfer Nicole Jeray may be the hottest golfer in the Midwest.

For the third time in four meets this autumn, the NIU junior claimed medalist honors in a major meet. In this case, it was this weekend’s Michigan State University Lady Spartan Fall Invitational.

Jeray, who was tied for seventh after the first 36 holes of the 54-hole tourney, came on strong in Sunday’s final round to capture the top spot while also boosting NIU into a third place team finish.

Jeray carded 18-hole rounds of 77, 75, and 79 to compile her win. Next up is the NIU Huskie Classic scheduled for Oct. 7_8 in Genoa.
