Tisch to breakfast with local voters
October 21, 1990
Robert Tisch, Democratic candidate for state representative, will be touring DeKalb county for breakfast stops in the weeks leading up to Election Day.
“We’re doing this in order to meet some more voters and talk a little about some of the issues they feel are important,” Tisch said. “I don’t think anyone has really begun to get into this race yet.”
Tisch said he feels the electorate has not heard much about either candidate yet, but plans to make clear the vast differences between Republican candidate Brad Burzynski and himself in the coming weeks.
The campaign will meet voters at seven stops for pancakes and coffee this week. “I’m even going to bring my own maple syrup,” Tisch said.
He shook hands Saturday with Huskie football fans at the Huskie stadium. Tuesday, Tisch will meet with the League of Women Voters and the DeKalb Farm Bureau at 315 N. 6th Street in DeKalb for breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m., and will be on hand that evening for Candidate Night from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Tisch will hold a reproductive rights rally Wednesday at noon in the King Memorial Commons, and a televised debate between Tisch and his opponent will air Oct. 25.
